Begin4 Title: concordancer Version: 1.2 Entered-date: 2000-04- Description: concordancer is a utility for concordancing text files in UN*Xes. Originally written for MS-DOS, it was ported some years ago to Linux. Its present generation has been written for and compiled in Linux, but it should take little to compile it in other UNIXes. When fed a file, concordancer extracts all the words in the file noting their page or line or stanza numbers, the size of the word, and the number of times it is used in the file. When finished it outputs both a file that contains this information and a file indicating the percentage of usage of the various letters of the alphabet in the file fed it.
