I added shortcuts for the "In Major" (CMD-SHFT-M) checkbox and the new "Credit/No Credit" (CMD-SHFT-N) checkbox. Also, the key now presses the OK button. Also added is an EDITABLE drop down list for your grade. It contains A,B,C,D,E,F,P. You can however type in anything you want. Added a record item "Credit/No Credit". This is for courses which give you credits toward graduation, but do not count towards your GPA (aka are Pass/Fail). This does happen. At drexel, you are required to take 3 phys ed classes. Have you ever wanted to "jazz" up a document with the addition of some Japan= ese characters? Have you ever wanted clear crisp Japanese characters at any font size? Have you ever wanted to use Japanese characters in applications that d= on't work with the language kit? Well, with the addition of the Japanese Font Package, you can do just that! What is the Japanese Font Package? The Japanese Font Package is a collection of Hiragana, Katakana and some spe= cial characters that are unique to Japanese. The use of these characters is made possible through a keyboard layout similar to those used in Japan. Rather th= an using Romanji, each character can be written with the push of a button! Each key is given a special Japanese character as it's output. The= character to the right of the standard letter, is the hiragana or katakana key that will = be printed when entered. The Japanese Font Package includes pictures of the entire Japanese keyboard which have been provided in various graphics formats. (PICT, GIF and JPEG) It is recommended that you print out the keyboard layout and use it to determine w= hich Japanese characters you wish to type. What files are included with this font package? The Japanese Font Package includes essentially four things: 1. Hiragana Brush font. This font comes complete with a bitmapped version,= a TrueType version, and a PostScript Type 1 version (for use with ATM). 2. Katakana Brush font. This font also comes complete with a bitmapped version, a TrueType version, and a PostScript Type 1 version (for use with ATM). 3. Keyboard Layout Folder. Inside this folder there are 3 images of the hiragana and katakana layout you will use. These files are all identical, however they have been converted into different graphics formats for easy viewing/printing. These formats are PICT, GIF and JPEG. Use your favorite graphics program to print out the layout for use with typing in Japanese. 4. Complete manual! Version Master is a client application which shows which software on a Macintosh is out-of-date and where on the internet users may find updates, patches, and upgrades. Version Master compiles a list of the software on a Mac and displays it in spreadsheet form. Users download the current version numbers and update locations from the Version Master server. Version Master keeps track of 680xx, PowerPC and FAT versions of software. Version Master also tracks beta versions of software independently from release versions of the same software as well as localized versions. As an added bonus, users may indicate that they would like to receive e-mail notification whenever a newer version of some specific software becomes available. How does it work? Version Master works like a cooperative: users contribute their version numbers to help keep the database current and benefit by the versions contributed by others. Symmetry maintains a database of all the software reported from users of Version Master. Whenever a user checks in reporting a more current version than is in the database, the database records the new version and reports that new version to future users. As more and more people use Version Master, the database becomes more and more accurate in reporting correct versions. Version Master works with firewalls supporting SOCKS 4.0 servers as well as http proxies. For those using Internet Config (highly recommended), Version Master will launch the appropriate helper application to connect to the home page or ftp location to retrieve updates. Version Master is currently available in English. Translation has begun for 6 additional languages: Japanese, French, German, Swedish, Italian, and Slovak. Basically, it has the same motherboard as a PowerMac 7200. I have also installed the Pentium compatibility card from apple. The problems I am having are with the HD. Everything will be ok, then boot times, and application times will get very long. Eventually, apps will cease to launch, and a dlog will say "unable to launch because an unexplained error occured". HD toolkit test of the drive reveals that there are many bad sectors. Funny thing is, I am on my second HD, with the same problems occuring with the first HD. So far, only large apps seem to be affected (Photoshop, illustrator) presumably because they take up more sectors, and thus have a better chance of having one of "their" sectors corrupted... What it probably means is that you booted with a disk in the drive, and the driver from that disk got loaded at boot time, instead of the extension. Try booting without a disk in the drive. If that fails, try booting with extensions turned off, then running the update installer. I was trying (and failing) to install a 2nd internal IDE drive on my Performa 6205, and was wondering: a) is it possible? and b) if so, how? The IDE connection cable inside the Mac had only 1 connection on it, so I replaced it with a "standard" cable that had 2. This cable allowed me to plug in one, or two of the IDE drives at a time. A simple Y-adapter allowed me to get power to both drives. The results I got were that no matter how I set the jumpers ("Master", "Slave", and "CS") on the drives, I could not get my Performa to mount both drives. It was always one or the other (sometimes neither), but _never_ both. The machine was booting from an external SCSI drive with System 7.5.5 on it, and since the drives in question are IDE, programs like Hard Disk Toolkit and Norton Utilities could not see the unmounted drives. Can someone tell me what I was doing wrong, or should I just cut my losses and trade my IDE drive for yet another external SCSI? To switch to the manual feed tray, click Continue." (And I thought I knew how long eleven inches were...) And if the document does print, it jams--or rather, I get a message that it has jammed, but when I open the front of the printer can see no paper; and when it jams, it doesn't recover. I have called Apple's Technical Support only for us to hang up an hour later in mutual bewilderment. The one glimmer of light I can see is that this does not happen when I use the manual feed tray. This suggests to me that there may be something wrong in the paper cassette.
