It's the result of a major joint effort with Alejandro L=F3pez-Valencia , with artwork by Nigel Longrich and it replaces all versions of my previous plugin, Wagner's Prefs, except for versions older than 1.2 (those are used for versions of Eudora earlier than Eudora 2). Due to the addition of so many new features, I'll refrain from going into any further details in this short blurb, but I assure you that if you enjoy Wagner's Prefs then you will want to download and use the SuperSleek=81 Plugin 1.0. By the way, as you'd expect, SuperSleek=81 Plugin 1.0 is free, just like Wagner's Prefs have always been. CAVEATS: PLEASE make sure you read the ReadMe file and the manual, or else you may get lost amongst all the new additions. And don't hesitate to send us (me or Alejandro, but not Nigel, please) email with suggestions, questions, praise, or even flames, should you need or want to. SuperSleek=81 Plugin 1.0 comes with an installer. The installed files and the installer have all been checked for viruses with Disinfectant 3.7.1 and the installer has been compressed into a self-extracting archive. Permission is granted to include this distribution on the Info-Mac CD. ALL other CD designers, vendors, distributors, etc should contact one of the authors first. INSTALLATION: After downloading and extracting the installer, simply double click on it, and follow the instructions on screen. On behalf of myself and my partners on this (ad)venture, Thank you. Problem: none of the screen savers that I've tried did just what I wanted. Feature-packed screen savers tend to want plenty of RAM, CPU cycles, and disk space, and they patch a lot of traps in order to work. On the other end, bare-bones screen savers don't provide password protection. Also, most screen savers of both types are implemented as system extensions, so you have to reboot your machine to run them or to get rid of them. That isn't optimal if you want to install a screen saver on a networked Macintosh which is busy acting as a server. BlackWatch solves these problems. It's small, quick, simple, compatible, and free. BlackWatch requires a Macintosh (or compatible) computer with Color QuickDraw. This means that it won't work on a Macintosh Plus or SE, but it should run just fine on later models (those produced since 1987). BlackWatch contains native binary code for both 68K and PowerPC machines. It uses 64K of RAM (slightly more on PowerPC machines). System 7.0 or later is required. -- Ken McLeod thecloud@apple.com [Archived as /info-mac/app/ss/black-watch-10.hqx; 52K] ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 4 Oct 1997 11:02:19 -0700 From: doug@cybernautics.com Subject: [*] Claris Contact Tracker Claris Contact Tracker Use Contact Tracker to manage your business or personal contact information. The module maintains lists information, composes message digests, and submits messages for distribution. Actual message delivery is implemented with the CommuniGate kernel and other CommuniGate modules. Mailing lists for message distribution can contain E-mail, Fax, Pager and other addresses supported with the CommuniGate system. The CommuniGate List module can maintain several mailing lists simultaneously. Each mailing list can have its own set of options. Since the CommuniGate List module receives all messages via the CommuniGate kernel, data conversions (as MIME decoding) are always performed. The CommuniGate List module supports: * the "feed" operation mode, when each posted message is immediately distributed to all subscribers; * the "digest" operation mode, when posted messages are composed into digests which are sent to the subscribers at specified times; * archiving of digests and retrieving of back issues via E-mail; moderated mailing lists; * the List owner notifications; The CommuniGate List module stores subscription lists as tab-delimited text files.
