This week, our Technical Editor Geoff Duncan waxes poetical about the capabilities of Apple's low-level debugger MacsBug when placed in the hands of merely geeky non-programmers. Also this week, we welcome two new sponsors - Maxum and Dantz, announce Conflict Catcher 8.0.2 and a public beta of the hot Eudora Pro 4.1, and relay news of a free version of Nisus Writer you can download. However, it is not the latest version. So if you install using the standard procedure you might overwrite a newer version of Internet Config on your machine. The latest version is 2.0, QuickTime 3.0.2 installer only has version 1.4. If you have downloaded a newer version of Internet Config do a Custom install from where it says "Standard" install in the installer. That way you can unselect Internet Config, and make sure your current Internet Config settings are not overwitten. I wonder if this will be a problem with MacOS 8.5. Internet Config is also found in the latest installers of Netscape, Internet Explorer, and several other popular programs. It goes without saying, if you want to keep your system stable, always keep backup copies of the installer archives, just in case your current software is overwritten. Try WorldClock. This does much more than you need. I'm sure there are other examples. Calculation of the time of sunrise and sunset is relatively easy, and you could easily do it using (eg) Excel or Hypercard.
