I opened one file with Word 6.0 (using the text only converter) and can see the text, but there are a lot of miscellaneous characters and symbols (lots of "greater than or equal" symbols), and the formatting is all wrong. I tried the other Word converters, but got the same results each time. There are various characters where there should be horizontal or vertical lines. Does anyone know of a Mac program that can read this and put into proper form? I checked the Info-Mac archive and also some commercial form software websites, but couldn't find anything that I could download and try out. I used to receive these forms via fax, so I know what they should look like, but am trying to get them to be sent via e:mail (calls between US and Japan are still rather pricey....). I had a similar card in a IIsi and the Control Panel was called PowerCache. You should be able to do a clean install and drag the CP and Extension to the System Folder. If you drop them on the folder, the folder will almost always put them in the right location. -----|----- 0-0 (_)+ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Feb 1998 09:48:48 -0800 From: Maurice Mike McNeil Subject: [A]: Converting Word 95 Docs to Word 5.1 MacLinkPlus 9.7 by DataViz.
