The software (from YAV http://www.yav.com) automatically creates filters, mailboxes, and nicknames (address book entries) with one click. You can generate hundreds of filters in the time it takes to construct one manually. Email Magician creates mailboxes to go with your new filters, and can also add new nicknames to your address book corresponding to your new mailboxes. The new version 1.2 adds a Special Filters palette with many innovative options requested by users. These include powerful filters for HTML email, PC file attachments, and filters that can act upon entire address books. Other new features include a mailbox Table of Contents display, support for two-byte fonts, and many new settings, actions, and revert options. Version 1.2 adds much functionality to unregistered copies of the program. Where, previous versions of Email Magician limited unregistered users to writing a single automatically generated filter, mailbox, and nickname per day, the new version lifts most restrictions and allows unregistered users the option to write one filter of each type per day. Email Magician generates 13 types of filters based upon its analysis of your Eudora folder. This "Swiss Army Knife" for Eudora« includes powerful spam filtering and comes with almost two hundred spam filters. Email Magician lets you organize and edit your filters, mailboxes, and nicknames too. The program also offers one-click archiving of mailboxes, as well as automated archiving of messages within mailboxes exceeding a specified message limit, or of entire mailboxes that haven't been modified within a certain time-period. Email Magician automates many periodic email "house-cleaning" chores -- deletion of empty mailboxes and "orphan-filters," meaning filters targeting missing mailboxes, creation of filters and/or mailboxes for all nicknames in your address books, and much more. Please check http://www.yav.com/emailmagician.html to make sure you have the latest version. ---------------------------- This file may be included on the commercially available CD-ROM of the archives. Results are logged. What action to (automatically) take when a disk problem is found is 100% customizable! The idea is "damage prevention" - disk errors can go unnoticed, resulting in even more errors until finally things go really wrong. Checking your disks on a regular basis is just good "disk-keeping". Disk Watcher automates that for you. Use: The Disk Watcher installer will put everything in place. It gives you the option to have Disk Watcher launched on every startup, or just once per day at startup. Alternatively you can have a cron launch it at whatever interval you deem appropriate. - Disk Watcher allows you to exempt disks from being checked based on the kind of disk (locked, ejectable) and/or based on the disk's name. - Disk Watcher allows you to have your own custom actions take place (which can even overrule Disk Watcher's default action) when a disk problem is found. Such an action might be to automatically launch another disk repair utility, but may also be to launch your own home grown scripts... Powerful stuff! System Requirements: - Works under Mac OS 7.5 through 9.2.1 - Disk First Aid 8.2 or higher - AppleScript needs to be enabled New: - In some situations, the unregistered version of Disk Watcher would not bring itself to the front when putting up the registration reminder. This made it impossible to run Disk Watcher unattended. Fixed. - If Disk Watcher is already installed, the installer will only replace it if the installed copy is an older version. Pricing and payment: Disk Watcher is $10,- non-crippled shareware with a free 30-day trial period. Payment is handled by Kagi. As such it is the key to widen and deepen the interpretation of the outcome of a divination. It features the translation James Legge made (published in 1882, England) of the Imperial Edition of the I (published in 1715, China). This alone makes the program useful for anyone interested in the I Ching. Besides that it adds two radical new views to the ancient Book of Changes: the Connexion and the Mediator. It also features an I Ching clock, a presentation of the link between the I Ching and astrology. And it allows you to calculate your natal hexagram. I Ching Connexion X v3.0 is carbonized: it requires a PowerPC Macintosh, at least Mac OS 8.6 with CarbonLib v1.4 installed, or Mac OS X 10.1 - it runs natively in both the Classic and the OS X environment. The program takes about 2.1 MB on your hard disk and needs 2.2 MB free RAM to run. It does not run on 680x0 Macs. This software is distributed as shareware (save/print disabled). Please read 'I Ching Connexion X Read Me' for a bit more introductory info, and 'How to Register ICC' for instructions on how to register. Changes since v2.3.3: - Build for Carbon now! - Made standard zoom state just big enough to hold the graphic. - Remember/restore position and size for all windows between runs. - Added standard window menu. - Balloon help is gone (it's not available in Carbon). - Added 'Hexagram Tips' as a replacement for balloon help; activated by menu choice or while option key is held down. - Added scroll wheel support (in OS X). - Corrected minor error in Hexagram 1, 2 and 3 miscellaneous signs numbers; they don't show up in the section menu anymore.
