This directory contains the FreeBSD mailing list archives, going
back to 1994.  These archives take up well over 500MB and probably
should not be mirrored by the faint-of-heart, mirroring by FTP being
a bad idea in any case since the current archive file for each mailing
list will change daily, and many of the active archive files are LARGE.

Since FTP will stupidly copy the whole file each time, not just the
bits appended to it since the last mirroring pass, it is recommended
that you use the cvsup utility to mirror the mail archives (see
supfile.cvsup for example configuration) if you really want these
archives locally.

The primary audience for these archives is not the end-user so much
as it is the folks who run search engines and other data-indexing and
distribution services.
