If you have an older system, and experience problems, such as random crashing,
installing the patches:

    PHSS_5907
    PHSS_5908

or their newer counterpart:

   PHSS_6439
   PHSS_6440

is strongly suggested.  These fix a number of serious problems in HPs X and
Motif libraries.  If you still have problems, despite having installed these
patches, please send mail to nedit_support@fnal.gov.

If you are using HPVUE and have trouble setting colors, for example part
of the menu bar stubornly remains at whatever HPVUE's default is, try setting:

   nedit*useColorObj: False
