Requirements Report Options

Structured Analysis

Flow Diagrams. Switch this option on to include Flow Diagrams in the report. You can then decide whether Flow Diagrams should be included alphabetically or hierarchically by clicking on one of the radio buttons. Click on the check box "Context Description" to include the Mini Specification of the parent Node for each diagram. You can also choose to include the Annotations for each Flow Diagram, which means the Annotations for the Flow Diagram and also the Annotations for all Terminators.

Diagrams are not printed in the report if the report format is set to ASCII. Spaces (generally blank pages) are left for the diagrams which can be plotted using the Plot command.

Mini Specs. Switch this option on to include Mini Specifications in the report. You can also choose to include the Annotations for each Mini Specification.

Control Specs. Switch this option on to include Control Specifications in the report. See the Real Time Modeling Reference for details. You can also choose to include the Annotations for each Control Specification.

Flow Definitions. Switch this option on to include definitions of the Flows in the report. These definitions are extracted from the Data Dictionary.

List of Undefined Objects. Switch this option on to include a list of "undefined" data (Flows and Stores), Mini Specs and Control Specs. The list includes Flows that are referenced in a Mini Specification but not defined in the Data Dictionary.

Information Modeling

E-R Models. Switch this option on to include the project's E-R Model. You can also choose to include a list of the Entity Definitions and/or Relationship Definitions, and to include a list of the Keys and Attributes for these definitions.

E-R Diagrams.  Switch this option on to include E-R Diagrams in the report. As with the E-R Model, you can choose to include a list of the Entity Definitions and/or Relationship Definitions, and to include a list of the Keys and Attributes for these definitions.

List of Undefined Objects. Switch this option on to include a list of "undefined" Entities and Relationships; i.e. those present in an E-R Model or Diagram but not defined in the Data Dictionary.

Annotations.  Switch this option on to include Annotations for each object in the Information Model.

Data Dictionary

Scope. Switch this option on to include a listing of the related Data Dictionary items. You may choose between the following options: SA for SA with RT, IM for IM only, or All for the complete Data Dictionary (can only be chosen if you have the appropriate licenses available).

Cross Reference. Switch this option on to include cross-referencing information for data definitions. In this way you can check the consistency of data item names across the data definitions. You may choose as cross-referencing scope SA, IM, or All (can only be chosen if you have the appropriate licenses available).

You can also choose to include a list of "unused data". For example, "Unused" within IM means data that is not "used" in an Entity or Relationship. This will include data that is created only in the Data Dictionary and not referenced anywhere else.

Structures - Data Tree List. Switch this option on to include a tree structure of data definitions starting from the root structure.

Annotations. Switch this option on to include the Annotations for the data items.

Traceability

Traceability Links. Switch this option on to include a list of the Traceability Links for the object.

With Attributes Switch this option on to include a description of the attributes for each Traceability Link.

The Traceability Links are described in the Autotracer Reference.
