This is a 4 M archive, with loads of dictionaries, and a Motif binary from France. It is not re-distributable, you HAVE to obtain it for personal or educational use, but it takes less than 30 minutes to download. With BT phones costing £2 per hour w/ends, it's not too bad. You first have to fill in a registration form, and get the exact pathname back.
The .tgz file that you get, has full path names, that install it into /usr/local/thot. This is fine if you have enough space. You should be root when you un-tar it, and a plain user when you run it.
browser http://opera.inrialpes.fr/thot/ ... follow the instructions ... I did: root: tar -C / -zxf thot-linux-elf.tar.gz user: /usr/local/thot/bin/thot doc & select doc /usr/local/thot/doc/Thotman-E.PIV View Zoom - Increase (until larger - note reformat of text) Window Resize Bigger - note paper width still A4
This is a document system, with all sorts of formatting options. I guess that you have to really use it to see if it makes sense to you. I have not yet had the time to do so, so I won't comment further, except to say that it works, and may be worth serious evaluation. Especially if 'ez' is too light for you, and you have a fast machine and network.
