monitor resolution, black and white is not supported.

Desktop Icon Manager v1.0 is an AppleScript which records and restores all
icons on the desktop perserving the relative spacing regardless of the monitor
resolution. In other words, Restoring the icon positions will place the icons
in the same area of the screen regardless if you're view in 640x480 or
1280 x 1024 or whatever. Requires AppleScript and scriptable Finder
(MacOS 7.5 or greater).

Subject: [*] Dusty Rose; Kal. scheme by Start Gallery
Due to the Start Gallery having to change ISPs, it has suffered
from me working on a redisign of the site as well as trying to configure
with the new server. In this time I've had the chance to try out Design
Studio for creating kalidioscope schemes. Dusty Rose is my first, and
probably my last scheme for Start Gallery. I've decided designing schemes
for Kalidioscope is just to hard. And I never seem to be happy with what I
create. Due to this fact Dusty Rose still has a few image glitches
(nothing that will affect your computer) that I got tired of trying to
trace. If you like it, great. If not....hey, it's free, what did you
expect?
I've also included a new Desktop Picture. It has the new Start
Gallery title design which of course, is a blatant attempt at self
promotion. Hope you like it.

Subject: [*] Finder View Settings 1.2 for MacOS 8 - global folder views
Program: Finder View Settings 1.2 FAT
Author: Alessandro Levi Montalcini
Price: $10 (shareware)
Register: http://order.kagi.com/?67
Download: http://www.montalcini.com
Finder View Settings makes it much easier to manage the new
MacOS 8 folder-specific view settings. It can globally override
all of your folder-specific view settings, making MacOS 8 behave
more like System 7, or easily change the requested view settings
for single folders or entire disks.
To globally override the view settings, Finder View Settings
must be stored in the Control Panels folder so it can patch the
System at startup. You can then enable or disable the Finder
overriding option with the appropriate check box in the main
window.
To permanently change the view settings for a given set of
folders, you can drop them on the Control Panel's icon or into
the main window. Finder View Settings doesn't have to be in the
Control Panels folder for this to work.
New in version 1.2:
- Fixed an incompatibility with Virtual Desktop and other
third-party utilities.

Subject: [*] Icon Machine (FAT) 1.3.1J - Japanese Version
This is the Japanese version of the Icon Machine package.
When I first started using System 7 and saw how you could customize icons by
pasting them in the Finders Get Info windows, I immediately said, Hey, what
we need is an icon editor! And the idea of Icon Machine was born, and has
been evolving ever since. Other people have made icon editors too, and I
have tried out as many as I could get my hands on (because if I found one I
liked enough it would save me a lot of trouble!) but I was never quite
satisfied. If you want a thing done right....
Icon Machine is an icon editor- it lets you customize the icons of items in
the Finder. To edit the icon of an item, just drag it onto the Icon Machine
icon in the Finder, and Icon Machine will open a window in which you can
edit the icon. When you're done, use the Save command to apply your new
icon. Icon Machine has been designed to take advantage of other great
features of the Mac OS to give you the power to make the icons you want.
Here are a few things people have said about Icon Machine:
"The Photoshop of icon editors!"
- Andrew Miller
"My initial reaction: This is cool!"
- Craig Hockenberry, author of Icon Dropper
"I think Icon Machine is tremendous."
- Brian Kelley, Apple Wizards
Changes in version 1.3.1:
1.3.1
- Fixed a problem with incoming drag flavors marked "don't save". This was
needed for drag-and-drop compatibility with the new version of the Kineticon
editor.
- Fixed the translucent drag image of small icons in the icon preview (they
were being stretched to large icon size)
- The Edit Icon plugin finally works correctly when Icon Machine is not on
the startup drive.

Subject: [*] PageInspector 1.5
PageInspector 1.5
http://www.kagi.com/doug/pi/
PageInspector is a Macintosh-only HTML syntax validator. It reports and
corrects errors that cause HTML pages to render incorrectly, and that are
difficult to find by eye. It also checks links, both local, FTP- and
HTTP-based links.
FEATURES:
=========
- Displays the text of the open file and highlights the exact location of
errors.
- Checks local as well as Internet links (that is, HTTP and FTP -- no other
program does this).
- Checks the case of local links to ensure they are UNIX-safe in addition
to being Mac-safe, which is not done even by programs that "specialise" in
HTML link checking.
- Obtains the document base URL from the file's Finder comment. No other
program does this.
- Lists up to 8192 errors in HTML documents. Explains why PageInspector
reported the error, and how you can correct it (or even have PageInspector
correct it for you.)
- Contextual menus provide shortcuts to commands (even in pre-MacOS 8 systems).
- Complete AppleScript support, including a scripts menu. Full
scriptability lets you extend PageInspector's automatic error corrections,
and select errors in your favourite text editor for correction.
- Uses a modern MacOS 8 3D platinum interface.
- Many preferences offers full customisation of PageInspector's behaviour.
PageInspector works on all Macs running System 7 or later. It is
accelerated for Power Macintosh. Open Transport and a Power Macintosh are
required for Internet link checking. Shareware $15 through Kagi Shareware.
