Subject: [*] AddressBook 3.7.2
Because Jim Leitch passed away, his exellent program "AddressBook" is no
longer supported. It seems that most archives carry version 3.7.0p11 as the
latest version, but actually 3.7.2 exists and is fully OS8.1 compatible in
my experience. I'm sure Jim wouldn't mind me uploading this version.
Apparently, the previous archive was corrupt is some way. Herewith I post
is again, hoping that this time it's O.K.

Subject: [*] bm10d7.hqx (PPC) and bm68k10d7
bm10d7.hqx is PowerPC only
bm68k10d7.hqx is 68k only
New features in this release:
* 68k version
* Support added for the appearance manager under system 8 (PPC only at
the mo)
* Changed keyboard shortcut for "Edit Bookmark" to shift-O.
* If shift key is held down when launching a bookmark from the finder,
the bookmark is now opened in an editing window instead of being
launched
* Implemented saveBookmark appleevent, and improved associated
applescripts
and data detectors
Bookmark Thing is a light-weight bookmark assistant, intended to work in
conjunction with Internet Config and your favourite internet applications.
It was
designed with these two principles in mind:
1. I don't want yet another application for managing hierarchical
collections
of things - I've already got something called the Finder, which works
quite
nicely thank you very much.
2. I don't want all my bookmarks linked to any particular application -
today
I'm using IE4 and Anarchie; a while ago, it was Netscape and Fetch;
tomorrow, who knows...

Subject: [*] MusiCalc v.4.4 Music and Time Calculator
Name: MusiCalc v.4.4 music time calculator
Type: HyperCard stack (calculation tool, time utility, music utility)
Author: Michael Riesman (mriesman@emedia.net)
Requirements: Any Mac running HyperCard 1.2 or later (or HyperCard Player).
Update - April 1998. Now has keyboard shortcuts. Supports both 80 and 100
bits (subframes) per frame. Paste results directly into ProTools and Sound
Designer II time windows. Time display optionally in seconds & decimal
fractions, or rounded (to 1/2 second, nearest second, or up). Shareware,
$10.
MusiCalc is a multi-functional HyperCard-based music and time
calculator which will add, subtract, multiply, and divide time on a scale
of minutes and seconds. Entries are free-form and may be corrected,
annotated, copied, cut, pasted, and recalculated.
MusiCalc consists of 4 calculator elements: 1) MusiCalc, a calculator
for musical time relationships (calculates time from bars & tempo, bars
from time & tempo, and tempo from bars & time, and converts
beats-per-minute to frames-per-beat & vice-versa); 2) TimeCalc, a time
calculator which properly adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides minutes,
seconds, frames, and bits (with optional entry of tenths, hundredths, etc.
in place of, or combined with, these subdivisions); 3) BarCalc, a formula
evaluator which simplifies computing the length of a piece of music,
particularly music with changing meters and/or repeating sections whose
measure-number count does not correspond to elapsed beats (BarCalc can be
used for any kind of multi-part formula evaluation); and 4) SMPTECalc,
which calculates sum and difference times using a stored SMPTE timecode
number and MusiCalc or TimecCalc results, facilitating re-synchronization.
