Default Groups

Freedom desktop comes with several predefined Open
Scripts for your convenience. The user can
customize each Open Script to suit specific needs.
These OpenScripts are organized into five groups.
These groups include a number of Open Scripts that
the user will hopefully find useful and
          instructive.

          Main group

The Main group cannot be erased from within
the program manager. The users may modify
the group as they see fit. The main
group contains Open Scripts to launch important
applications such as the File manager, the Print
tool and the Mail tool. The Main Group includes,
          among others, the following items:

File -- Starts the File Manager.

PrintTool -- Starts the Print Tool.

Trash -- Invokes the Trash utility.

FindTool -- Start the Find Tool.

          (xterm).

          Desktop group

The desktop group includes OpenScripts to invoke
          desktop applications

          Calculator

          Clock

MailTool - Invokes the mail application of
          choice.

This group indicates an important point about the
construction of groups. This group contains some
of the same applications as the Main group. Since
a clock or a Print tool or the Find Tool may be
useful in several groups the user can copy these
applications to groups that the user creates.

          Development group

The Development Group provides OpenScripts to

More information can be obtained about the
previous OpenScripts by using the File menu
(Properties option) in the Program Manager. The
Item Properties dialog presents all the relevant
information associated to a particular Open
Script; including a brief description of the
purpose of the script and its parameters.
