File - Copy Item

Copy Item .. The program manager File menu Copy
Item .. option permits the program manager to copy
items from one program manager group to another.
A Copy to Group toggle is provided with this
purpose. This menu option can also be used in the
same way that the Copy To .. option in the file
manager is used. That is the user can copy files
or set of files (directories) to directories other
than group directories. The program manager is
designed to have one active group at a time.
Applications can be assigned to groups with a
certain amount of redundancy. The Print Tool is
an example of an application that would reasonably
occur in more than one group. A program manager
group should have as many applications as needed
to efficiently handle routine activities --
          program development, stress analysis, drafting,
          accounting, desktop publishing. Construct groups
simple enough to make icons easy to find and
robust enough that a single group does all the
required functions for a routine task. Use the
mouse to select the group into which to copy the
          item(s). Alt+Shift+(c) or Meta+(f), (c) will open
the File menu Copy dialog box.
