File - New Group (Program Manager)

New Group .. -- The New Group option of the File
menu creates a directory to hold the files of the
new group. Selecting New Group opens a dialog box
that allows the user to name a new group. A
program manager group is simply a directory that
          contains iconized applications, files and
directories related to a common task. The program
manager adds the newly named group to the groups'
menu. To see the new group, open the Group menu
from the menu bar and select the name of the new
group. The newly named group will appear as an
empty window in the program manager. The user can
create new items in the group or can copy, move or
link Items into the group. Selecting a group from
the Group menu shows it in the program manager
window as the current group. Alt+Shift+(g) or
Meta+(f), (g) open the New Group dialog box.

Each group created is a directory that is a
          subdirectory of the .freedom/groups directory.
The directory structure is not obvious from the
program manager. However through the file manager
or the terminal window the user can access the
group directories. The user should exercise some
care in modifying group directories from outside
the program manager. The program manager will not
let the user eliminate a group unless it is empty.
The file manager treats all directories equally
and can be directed to remove any group directory.
