Motif - Window Scroll
In some cases Motif Windows have controls to permit
data that is off screen to be scrolled into the window.
These controls are scroll bars. Motif allows for
horizontal and vertical scroll bars. Windows can
be scrolled to permit additional files names, icons or
lines of text to be viewed and/or selected. Scrolling
can be accomplished by clicking and dragging the scroll
bar or by clicking on the scroll arrows at either end
of the scroll bar. Clicking the up arrow moves the
window up relative to the underlying data. The data
appears to move down in the window. Clicking the down
arrow moves the window down relative to the underlying
data. The data will appear to move up in the window.
Dragging the scroll bar has the same effect, moving the
scroll bar up moves the window over the data which will
appear to move down in the window.
