esos is the export version of SOS's general purpose utility library.

As a quick glance will show, it a mixture of hopefully useful routines
from the trivial (get IP address by hostname or IP address) to the
complex (n half-channels multi-buffering non-blocking data relay)

The major reason for its release is the co-release of Freestone and
bdttcp (and soon, other products) which all need esos functions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The major drawbacks are:

1:	Some of the functions, notably the ones in
util.c, desperately need to be re-engineered
with a better model (the worst parts of util.c
have gone away with the encryption links,
	but it still is ugly).

2:	This version which was thrown together for a special
request is not as neatly packaged as we might wish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The major features are:

1:	It has some really useful stuff in it, if you can
only find it and figure out how to use it.

2:	The price is right.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Compilation instructions:

0:	cp make/*.mk /usr/local/include/make

1:	`make`

Other targets include `make depend` `make install` etc...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem resolution:

1:	Use the Source, Luke.

If you need to port this to a new platform, try to minimize your
changes and try *very* hard to make the changes to sos.mk and
unix_decl.h
